How Run Credits Work in Consuma AI
Credits are the mitochondria of Consuma AI—the powerhouse that fuels your research.
At Consuma AI, report credits are the currency used to generate research reports. The number of credits required is determined by how much research power is allocated to your brief. A typical report costs 1 credit, but this may vary based on the data volume, analysis complexity of your request.
How Credits Are Estimated
When you submit a brief, our system estimates the number of credits based on three key factors:
Expected Data Volume – The number of data points our engine will analyze (e.g., 10K-100K mentions).
Analysis Complexity – Whether a simple summary or deep thematic analysis is needed.
Number of Questions – The total insights required (e.g., up to 5 key questions).
For example, a brief that requires analyzing 10K-100K data points, a complex analysis, and answers to ≤5 questions might cost 0.775 credits.
Credit Breakdown by Report Type
Type of Report | Typical Sections | Report Credits |
---|---|---|
Social Listening | Less than 5 sections | 0.5 credit |
Consumer Understanding Research | 5 - 10 sections | 1 Credit |
In Depth Category or NPD studies | More than 10 sections | 1.5 credit |
The number of report credits your brief requires will be displayed before you submit the query—so you can modify or proceed accordingly.
Why Credits Vary
Credits are dynamic because no two briefs are the same. A broad, high-volume query will need more credits than a targeted, niche study. As the query parameters adjust, so does the estimated credit usage.
